Check the power cord connections
q
Check that the power supplied to the printer is
steady and meets printer specifications.
q
Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer
on.
1. Select START-Settings-Printers from
Window 95 task bar.(See page 33)
2. Click on the PCLXL, PCL5e or PS printer icon.
3. Select File-Default Printer.

Check the printer cable connections.(See page 14)
q
Check the printer port on your computer.
q
Check that all trays are properly loaded,
adjusted, and installed in the printer.
q
Check that all covers are correctly closed.
The power does not
turn on.
The printer
does not operate by
pressing the button
on the operator
panel.
It cannot print
from software
application.
The printed
data is not sent to
the printer.
The test page is
not printed.
