This DVD Recorder & VCR can play the following video
compression formats.
- MPEG4 Codec format : DivX 3.11 DivX 4.x DivX 5.x
- Audio format : .MP3, .MPEG, .PCM, .AC3, .DTS.
Supported subtitle fi le formats: .smi, .srt, .sub, .psb, .txt (The
subtitle fi le should have exactly the same name to corresponding
MPEG4 fi le name)
Some MPEG4 fi les that were created on a personal computer
may not be able to play back. That is why Codec Type, Version
and Higher resolution over specifi cation is not supported.
Playing the VCR
1. Insert a standard VHS tape into the VCR deck.
• When a tape is inserted, the power will turn on automatically.
2. Press the ►II (PLAY/STILL) button on the remote control or on the
front panel of the unit. The videotape will begin to play automatically if
the Record Safety Tab is removed and Auto Play is turned on.
3. Press the (STOP) button on the remote control or on the front panel
of the unit.
4. Playback through the VCR is possible when HDMI is connected.
Tracking
The Tracking adjustment removes the white lines that sometimes
appear during playback because of slight differences in recording
decks.
Adjust Tracking Manually During playback, press the TRK/CBC CH/TV
CH ( / ) buttons to remove white lines from the picture.
Special VCR Playback Features
While a videotape is playing, you can enjoy a variety of
special playback features, including Still, Frame Advance,
Skip, Slow motion, and more.
STILL
In Play mode, press the ►II (PLAY/STILL) button to still a single frame.
Frame Advance
In Still mode, press the F.ADV/SKIP button to advance to the next frame.
Fps/Review
In Play mode, press the Forward (►►) button or Rewind (◄◄) button to
Fps/review at two speeds:
• Picture Search - Press and release repeatedly to advance the tape
forward or backward at 2,3,5,7 times normal speed.
• Jet Search - Press and hold to advance the tape forward or backward at
7 times normal speed.
