General Printing Problems
•
Check the power cord connections.
•
Check that the power supplied to the printer is
steady and meets printer specifications.
•
Turn the printer off, and then turn the
printer on.

Select START ➔ Settings ➔ Printers from
Windows task bar (See page 5.1).

Click on the PCL 6 or PS printer icon.

Select File ➔ Default Printer.
•
Check the printer cable connections
(See page 2.8).
•
Check the printer port on your computer.
•
Check that all trays are properly loaded,
adjusted, and installed in the printer.
•
Check that all covers are correctly closed.
The power does not
turn on.
The printer does not
operate by pressing
the button on the
operator panel.
It cannot print from
software applications.
The printed data is
not sent to the
printer.
The test page is
not printed.
